I am a wire artist who makes jewelry with rough, cabochons and faceted stones. I use mostly sterling silver wire and adorn the tops with various beads and sparkles. I do use 14 kt. gold filled wire upon request. I am drawn to the energy of the stones and enjoy making these lovelies from Mother Earth into wearable art pieces.
The rain has washed away most of the snow here. I am grateful. I intended to do little today but was busy anyway. I worked more on my New Year' collage of what I would like to call in this year of 2011. I find I totally enjoyed the process of creating what I think is a beautiful piece of art. But, I am an artist after all.
After so long a time since I have posted here, I have to add I am an artist yes, making jewelry, yes, deep in my heart, I have always been a writer, story teller and teacher. That truly is my longing and yearning. I have my stories to tell and there are some stories that want to tell me. Stones have their stories as well. So it is I begin and will go wherever I am led.
